How does Secret RF work?
Secret RF punctures the skin through the tiny needles and delivers radio frequency. The heat produced from the radio frequency stimulates collagen production and elastin resulting in tighter skin and a more youthful appearance. Secret RF is an easy, safe and effective procedure. To achieve the optimal effect, 3-4 Secret RF treatments are recommended, 4-6 weeks apart. Typically you notice results after your second treatment and optimal results 3 months after your last treatment. Some ingredients, such as exfoliants, hayaluronic acid, or retinols, can be too harsh after microneedling. Stick with hydrating products and gentle formulas for 3-4 days after your treatment, like Neocutis Aftercare and Biocream. Gentle moisturizing along with SPF protection is especially important after microneedling, as your skin will be particularly sensitive to sun exposure. Side effects of Secret RF may include varied redness and swelling. It is possible to be able to wear makeup in 48 hours. Some patients may experience temporary bruising. We will discuss the side effects you might experience during your consultation and decision regarding the extent of your treatment plan.
We pre-treat your face with a topical numbing for at least 30 minutes before your procedure to ensure your comfort.
You may experience shedding due to cell turnover. Dryness and tightness is also common a few days after treatment. After the healing process, which is typically around day 5, your skin will glow. You will notice smoother and more luminous skin, likely with softer lines and wrinkles.
